Personal Lines Sales Executive

Job Summary: 

Brown & Brown Empire State is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Sales Executive to join our team. This individual will provide services in connection with selling and servicing personal insurance line products while continually increasing sales and lending total support to the organization’s overall goals and mission.

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Create a market plan; identify and locate prospects based on the market plan.
  • Contact prospects in person, over the telephone, and by direct mail; determine expiration dates and present scope of insurance coverage.
  • Determine the prospect's needs and wants.
  • Qualify a prospect for both eligibility and acceptability (to include financial, health, stability, and profitability).
  • Using internal technical and marketing resources, prepare a proposal and quotation for client coverages.
  • Make an effective sales presentation utilizing resources and materials available for a professional proposal.
  • Participate in civic, social, and trade organizations which will assist in enhancing the organization’s image.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, and take corrective action whenever necessary.
Required Experience: 

5+ years insurance industry experience dealing with High Net Worth Clientele.

Required Competencies: 
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance coverage products
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with clients, insurance company personnel, co-workers, vendors & other third parties
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel)
  • Active New York State P&C License
  • Self-motivated & results oriented
  • Valid Driver’s license
